Luke Hemsworth & Morgan Freeman Set To Appear


EXCLUSIVE: Luke Hemsworth, Morgan Freeman and Lou Ferrigno are lending their weight to the Tarzana International Film Festival (TZIFF).

The trio will appear at the San Fernando Valley festival, which takes place September 5-7, with the red carpet rolled out at the Regal Cinemas at Sherman Oaks Galleria for more than 70 films.

The opening night sees the West Coast festival premiere of Gunner, the adrenaline-fueled action thriller starring Hemsworth and Freeman that’s Directed and produced by Dimitri Logothetis.

Ferrigno, the bodybuilder known for playing the Incredible Hulk, joins the festival as a featured awards presenter. Celebrations will culminates in a closing night gala and awards dinner at the Braemar Country Club.

As part of the 150th anniversary of writer Edgar Rice Burroughs’ birth, TZIFF will host a tribute to the late Ron Ely, who played Tarzan in the NBC series in the late 1960s, with Ferrigno hosting. The Edgar Rice Burroughs Legacy Award will be presented to author Kevin J. Anderson, who’s best known for his work on the Dune saga alongside Frank Herbert.

Elsewhere at the fest, TZIFF is partnering with the Artificial Intelligence Media Festival, which spotlights films, music, and visual art created with AI and advanced digital technologies. An AI Digital Art Exhibition will be in the theater lobby.
