Salman Khan will make a special appearance in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, reprising his role as Chulbul Pandey from the Dabangg franchise.
While several local media reports suggested that the role may be called off amid safety concerns around Khan, we understand the cameo will go ahead. Sources close to production have confirmed a post-credit cameo is being filmed today.
Singham Again will be released during Diwali on November 1.
Khan’s appearance as Chulbul Pandey in the film will mark the star’s entry in Shetty’s ‘Cop universe’ and a crossover with the historic Dabangg franchise.
The first Dabangg film was directed by Abhinav Singh Kashyap and starred Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan and Sonu Sood.
Singham Again is the fifth instalment in Shetty’s franchise and is billed as the direct sequel to Singham Returns (2014).
Singham Again stars Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Dayanand Shetty and Shweta Tiwari.
